Been to FL many times, but never over New Years. Visiting family in Orlando and plan on catching some surf from New Smyrna to Ft. Pierce and then partying for New Years. Any surfer approved party spots worth hitting. Obviously Miami has a lot and it looks like WPB does too, but was hoping for that little extra advice/inside scoop.

Thanks amigos and have a happy and balanced Holiday!

Get a few good bottles of whiskey and spend time drinking, eating and talking with the family.

most rapist go to ft. laud, so only go if you are a rapist or whatever

you can't afford miami bch, south bch, brickel or cocoanut grove. ppl that have enough money to go there don't post on this forum.

go to backpage/orlando and buy a friend for the night

Ha. I decided to go in Feb. So busy at work and need to be accessible from mon-wed via phone and not have to pay $3 a minute, plus ridiculous data charges. Was looking at staying at Copacobana Hotel in Jaco based on price, but according to Bookit, the best price included two 3 stop 12hr flights. One interesting thing was the hotel was clothing optional. Waves didn't look all that great as well.

Best New Years I've had probably was a few years ago my wife and I went to see Slightly Stupid and The Expendables at House of Blues in downtown Disney. Awesome show, everybody was passing it around and being generous. I'd look for something like that.
