Chuckie White was actually the nickname of a man I knew in college who purveyed things that are not good for you and keep you up very late at night for 50 bucks a pop. Just a random observation. Also and totally OT - I know how these ads work, and as this is my work computer I keep it pretty clean, so why is "Dating Russian Seniors" an ad choice for me? IHL...I have the same sentiment as your initial post...and don't disagree that the quality of the daily posts are fairly weak as of late with an overt amount of trolling--with a few exceptions. I even commented as such in another thread---got flamed by rcarter and a few others in the same way you did. However, SS statement above is the same conclusion I came to...change can only happen by you and others posting more...more quality threads will improve the overall state of SI... Just post up...search a few old threads that were high quality...bump them...etc. Food for thought....

totally agree. if you look at the threads i post (save the spot thread) they're all things that relate to surfing on a meta level and i'm trying to provoke actual debate. there seems to be a huge disconnect between people in the know, and the surfing population at large.
Great, you post good treads. That is awesome man. But it still does not change the fact that when people disagree with you or you don't like they way things are going on SI, you whine like a little girl. You are pissy becasue you are an OG and someone changed things in the sandbox. This is overtly evident in how proud you are of being one of the oldest members of SI. I remember SI back in 2009, 5 people posting reports of their sessions, trip advice treads and a bunch of tumbleweeds blowing up in this mutha fuka. Now look at it, pages of awesome treads, tons of cool pics and vids, a Gnome from NZ, child rappist from FL and lest we forget the king of them all...
