Tell Governor Christy to VETO the proposed Liquid Natural Gas terminal

Please take 30 seconds to save our coastline! Tell Governor Christie to veto the Port Ambrose LNG Terminal.

"Port Ambrose" is a proposed offshore liquefied natural gas terminal (LNG) located near the entrance to the New York/New Jersey Harbor. The proposed site overlaps with two Coast Guard training areas, a proposed wind power project, several important fishing areas, and wildlife migration routes.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has the authority to veto this project at any time but has so far remained silent. This project is a bad deal for New Jersey, as we will pay the price if anything goes wrong. In fact, the proposal will only create 6 permanent jobs and may raise energy prices if natural gas is exported from the terminal to foreign countries. This terminal would also represent a green light for hydro-fracking upstate.

New Jersey is literally at a crossroads, as we have the opportunity to choose between a wind power array or an LNG terminal. Why would we want to lock ourselves into dirty fossil fuel infrastructure for decades to come? The choice is clear. Let Governor Christie know how you feel—no Port Ambrose LNG!
