There is no clear winner in my mind but I would put all of thes guys as a tie for their strengths and contributions to the evolution of surfing:
Curren, Munga Barry, Archie, Taj, Tim Curran, Fanning, Owen Wright, Combine Julian Wilson & Jon Jon (holy frank & beans)

Not a bad list...but guys like Carroll, Brock Little, even Sunny would definitely out surf MR...with a lot of respect given towards him...

As for Curren...if we're talking about a righr hand point...I would pic him over anyone...

Also...there is no stopping JJF in the future...
