Tour of Greatness Vol. 1 - WILL THIS WORK?

    alright, as a new way to unite each other and have some fun on this forum, i have a proposition that i may or may not have bit from other forums.


    starting february 1st and ending february 28th, we will have what i like to call "the tour of greatness". for every day in february, one person per day will be assigned to post three pictures with a caption about each one.
    1st picture: your local break- post a picture of your local break. tell us about it.
    2nd picture: what you do when you're not surfing- post a picture of or about anything you do when the waves aren't favorable. tell us about it.
    3rd picture: where you live- it could be a pic of your house, a landmark in your town, a tree in front of your house, a cool restaurant in your town etc. be creative with this one. tell us about it.

    how do i enter this thing?
    well, if there's positive feedback on this thread, i will start a new thread for reserving your spot for this. there will be 28 people and it's first come first serve. no exceptions.

    every picture needs to be taken by you, and iphone pics are acceptable. i'd prefer for everyone to go out and shoot for this specifically because i don't want to be seeing old photos. if you absolutely don't have time to shoot for this i'll be fine with a photo that's sort of recent. just make sure it's taken by you.

    there will be consequences if you don't post on your assigned day.

    so what do you guys think? this is just a thread to get all of your opinions on this.

    I think it's a great idea... But, instead of doing anything you said I'm just going to go home and smash my ball bag with a hammer. That is just a little better of an idea.

    I'll summarize for you guys: basically fun is proposing a themed thread where he assigns each membre(who wants to participate) a day, and on that day said membre will post three pics(home break/something in/on one's living space/one of a non-surfing activity we do), with a descriptive caption.

    I think there's potential for hilarity, wit, and good pics.

    I started a tread on 12ozprophet years ago that I entitled "Your Day in Pics"....basically you snap pics of your daily activities and youz know add clever captions....

    That's actually a picture from the 70's. When I was a little kid it was basically just the wood hull, half buried. We used it as a surf locker, but its long gone. Now the only thing that's left is the iron engine that reeled in the nets. You can see it every few years or so after a big storm takes some beach out. But the sand always comes back and buries it for a few more years.
