You're talking about the very tip of Long Island (east end not north). The rest of the island is beach breaks.

like I said I was there once for like 6 hrs.i know it wasn't the lighthouse I went to,id remember that, but it was breaking really good, and the land is beautiful.all I know is it was a super long drive, and the hooptie I was driving barely made it.oh yea I remember sheriffs down there like every 100 ft and my dad was flying past them and they didn't budge.nj we would've left with citations.

as far the rest of ny I cannot say if its good or not

Yeah. There's a couple of spots out there that can handle a big swell.. It is so nice out there.
Cops are not as cool as they used to be.

The rest of the island is similar to Jersey except lefts instead of rights and not as hollow.

Its simple, if you want waves you have to work for them. Everyone, no matter where they are from (locals/ non-locals) will take waves from you if you aren't aggressive to a certain degree. People are jerks no matter what. If you want to sit inside of me I understand. But, once you get a few you are going to have to work to get a few after that. I like the concept of give a few take a few. If I feel like you are taking more and being douche then I hope you are in shape! There's a way to do all of this in a civil, polite, manner. A lot of people don't feel a lineup out before they start taking waves like they own the place. That pisses me off.

I'll never understand how RI is FLOODed with cars/surfers from both of these states, Every swell, from April/May-October/November. It's Unreal.

The sensibility of this post makes me smile. Great advice hear folks.

If you find a person who's acting out of place in the line up, inform them of what they are doing, why they shouldn't and be a reasonable dude. If they start something by all means do what ya gotta do but most people will back down when you call them on their sh%t
