Still to this day, the one and only time I've been to the OBX I vividly remember KDH and how awesome the place was. The surf was choppy and blown out that day, but we still paddled out and battled it and had a blast. I remember having lunch at a restaurant right there on the beach, don't recall the name, but I remember it as being great food. Definitely need to take a week long trip there in the near future.
Without a doubt man, just the scenery alone is worth it. The vibe is super chill and laid back. The waves are just icing on the cake. I'm thinking maybe in the Fall after my move, as long as finances are in order.
