That's great. I spoke with a Vietnam vet the other day about his experience with Agent Orange. He is a hot mess with health problems. It was sad to hear his story. The company who manufactured the stuff knew darned well about how toxic is was to humans. We should have never been in Vietnam in the first place. That neck of the woods is a mess today. China is bullying every country that has a South China sea shoreline. It's all about that money. I don't want to derail this thread. OK, I'm done.
True dat!! Even Robt McNamara, the Sec of Defense during the Vietnam War, declared the very same in his book. It was a huge mistake.
I think at a minimum they should label what foods have GMOs in them. Especially if your paying a premium for them at Whole paycheck. GMOs who would have thought veggies can kill .good thread .
it's easy to say in hindsite, especially after a stalemate or loss to say "we never should have been there," similar to saying, if I wouldn't have said that. Back to the original topic and surfing. There is so much mud in the water over GMO. Look at Dustin Barca_ Pro Surfer? MMA fighter? Mayor? GMO opponet and mouthpiece- Did you know that one of his sponsors was Muscle Milk? Do you think he knew that he was promoting a product that contained such a high level of metals that when consumed frequently leads to liver damage and other health issues? Do you think he knew that Cytosport the company that was recently acquired by Hormel foods, in 2012 settled a lawsuit called prop 65 which paid claims to people who purchased their product from 2006 to 2012? Again, with my original point, do your research, source your food (and food products).
and who righted that wrong? HIPPIES! and who is a subculture of HIPPYS? surfer dudes. (seems those who bathed - or at least; rinsed)... made off with the peasant-bloused babes.
Yup. I married one of those peasant-bloused babes. Still together. Been 42 years. Signed, your former hippy, but still surfer, Barry Cuda

Ahhh... the GMO debate! The science ain't bad.. it's the corporate side that is evil. Most pro-GMO folks think that the patented crops will feed the world, grow food with higher nutritional content, use less chemical agents on crops etc.. But that's not the case. The facts are that there is already enough food grown to feed the world, GMO crops are no more nutritious then organic/conventional and when a farmer plants GMO seed he gets to dowse his field care free. Factory farming itself is pretty ****ty on the environment- but how are the masses going to eat? Most people don't want to be bothered with growing their own even when they DO have the room... let alone those who don't. As far as wholefoods goes- they have a nice selection of products that you cant really get at a shopright or stop&shop.. but they sell just as much garbage as any other grocery chain. It is up to the buyer to be aware of what they are going to consume. I know for some people, Wholefoods has this "vibe" to it, that you can go in there and buy whatever and not have to worry about it being adverse to your health... this is a mistake. Reminds me of a quote by Ellen Goodman (the part about people and growing food): “Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.” Which brings me to Bodhi: "This was never about money for us... it was about us against the system...That system that kills the human spirit...We stand for something...To those dead souls inching along the free way in their metal coffins...We show them that the human spirit is still alive..." Get out there in those 5mills buoys
Well said Doug. Unfortunately this view is widely held by many in our glutinous culture. Many people grow old, sad and jaded and simply quit giving a sh*t about anyone else.
You are the true definition of a yuppie cocksocker, hypocrite much? Hippy one day then complete yuppie ahole the next. Against the system and now you love the system. Your morals changed a lot over the years. The only thing that hasn't changed is your still riding that 10 foot longboard, kook.
I know. I"m just kidding around. I just can't stand Churchill. The leader of a country who pretty much ****ed up and seized every other country in their history. They screwed with more people than our country and that is really bad.
Back to topic. GMOs suck. People argue that's it's need to feed the population. Get your head out of your ass. It's about money, period. They will tell you different but want do you expect in the land of bull**** called America. Bull****ting is our pasttime. It's the only thing we are good at anymore besides bombing people.
