chavez2x - i adore bruce but he NEVER comes to town. he wrote that song and NEVER comes. he prob thinks it stinks too...guess you can't blame him....
that is the way to go. Keep Borgata, Harrahs, and Tropicana. The rest should turn into homes and restaurants, maybe amusement park. Stockton bought one of the casinos and is turning into the only beachfront University on the East Coast. There is a lot of potential there but it all starts with getting rid of outdated Casinos that have no place in modern society.
If you got F-U money, I'm sure they would let you turn that thing up to 11 for an hour with yer best shredder buds.
I wish. maybe a few 100gs but every time I go I ask and they turn me down. Last may when I was out the wind was cranking 'offshore' and the most perfect little knee high right was firing. I could only order more drinks imagining what it would have been like at a higher setting.
Hey, people talk aboot AC all the time - how they are going to recapture that magic lost after the second half of the 20th century......... Everyone fails to acknowledge that AC is nothing but a ghetto that has some casinos. Everyone walking around AC is on dope or sells dope with their 9 mm. The only reason people ever came to AC in the recent decades was to gamble. Now every state has their own casinos and AC is not needed. People rather gamble in Chester, PA than in AC. Go watch the old movie "Atlantic City" with Baddy's favorite actress Susan Sarandon. Tell me that's not the most depressing ambiance ever. I say, we turn AC into a Red Light district........ And legalize gambling in Ocean City.
It's really sad, the place has so much potential. I go there quite often. The clubs are always fun and always packed whenever I go. Mur Mur Mondays are the s**t! Nothing beats getting belligerently drunk, dancing with some little slutty wahine, taking her up to the room and banging her brains out. I hope something happens and the place gets a little pulse and comes back.
Hey, "the Fishery" has been mine since 1988. In my mind at least. Yeah, they could have The Toilet Bowl or Holly Hunter down south. And today they can keep their wood. Man, F 25th St, too.
Thanks, dude. Yeah, I knew that answer, and I have an affinity for Kasser's. Well, I used to. Ok, officially, from this point on.... I'm all aboot Smirnoff Orange shot bottles.
i used to own coffee shop..... (i'm a hero in my own mind). til 2 'local types' showed up.. (well, they'd been there all along)... then i had to drop a couple rungs... one of one of those doodes kids is the big deal there now... and coffee shop is gone. ****in beach pumping!
Quoting myself.... I've heard that song a million times and not being a Springsteen fan, sorry NJers... I thought it was an Original Hold Steady song. Check out "Chill out tent" and "killer parties" by the hold steady all you old drug addled surfer types. (I gave tickets away to Springsteen's "Born in the USA" tour and still don't regret it.)
Man that coffee shop never gave me a good cup of joe. I tried a few times, but the place never came together for me. My friend knew one of the Moch's of the northern end. My friend axed me to hassle one of them on FB. I send a Friend Request and a message quarterly. I never get a response. Hey, the public access at the next town north had it's moments. For some reason my friend called it "Panarama." You know what drove me nuts aboot that place? Spring, when they turn-on all the traffic lights. Don't like them lights.
I was in AC for the beer festival a couple years back and a friend took to me to Tony's Baltimore Grill for their pizza topped with meatballs. Have to say it was one of the best slices I've had. Also have to say I had just finished consuming beer at a rate reminiscent of college. I'm afraid to go back and be disappointed.
Turn all the hotels into brothels. You all will not be able to stay away. You will all sell your boards for room # 402, the hot redhead.
