I can't decide. I won a free custom from lost or pyzel. I can't pick a board. Kid in a candy store situation. Here's the scoop.

30yrs old. 6' 195-205 lbs depending on the time of year. Have been riding 35 cls recently but am up to go up for certain boards.

I surf once or twice a month so maximizing waves is major for me.

I have a 5'10 DHD pocket knife which I ride 98% of the time. Only broke out my step up once.

Was thinking of going with lost bean bag but now that I can order Im unsure.

Does anyone have overlapping boards in their quiver they break out for different days? The pocket knife has been sort of a quiver killer and it's hard to decide what to order off the web rather than feelin the board up in person.

    Help.

    not sure if this helps....but...
i have a board for crap new jersey surf.
and one for quality new jersey surf.
and one for big new jersey surf which i use 3x year.

i use my crap board (f/w addvance) the most it seems.
i enjoy my quality wave board (f/w potatonator) the most.
i wish i used my f/w unibrow more.

go for something different , the tow by pyzel . Foot strap inserts , quad fin, maybe ask for 5 fin as the custom , could be a fun board just to have .

Read the tread title quick and thought it was bouts next year's Halloween costume. Superhero characters via body paint always win the prize.

I like dis tread topic as well and am looking forward to the responses. A custom is in my plans at some point soon. I sure as hell have had enough sticks to see what I like and don't.

Looking forward to LBCrew and the other shaping savants cats to chime in on things like foil and rocker and concave bottoms that I need to learn more about.

hahah, nice. Costumes are prob more exciting than some dude's custom. Agreed.

Anyone ride a pyzalien or any pyzel board? heard the glass is better than lost?

Thats awesome you won a custom? Noice. I've been eyeing a 5-8 dhd pocket knife for a bit. My buddy made me a custom based off the ci weirdo ripper with a regular wide squash tail opposed to the ci cuts. Check out the lost v3 rocket. It looks like a good mix of a domesticated all around board and a hpsb. Thats my next custom copy. Man im jealous of you. Congrats

I also thought it was for a Halloween costume. I dressed up as Lil' Jon one year, worked great!

The pyzel rip off looks fun

Thanks... V3 looks pretty fun and I am a hybrid guy. Watching a ton of fantasy surfer paid off this year. ended up in top 1% of players.

Thinking of the rip off... I guess he's ripping off a rocket by the looks of it? the only thing that I don't like is the super flat rocker on that

Yeah. I don't make enough dough as a writer to spend 6-7 bills on the real thing. Plus I get to design the look and the guys at essence surf NJ make great boards. If I was able id get customs and the real ones.

Neither: give the board to me and buy a Coil. Problem Solved.

    This is what you want:
    http://www.realwatersports.com/surfing/surfboards/lost/layzboy

Bean Bag is super low end spectrum of waves.
But honestly you don't need a custom Lazyboy..they are so easy to surf standard dimensions off the rack is fine.

if I already had a small-med wave board (pocket knife) and a step-up, I might even out the quiver with a longboard of some sort.

Depending on what condition your current boards are, another option may be to replace one of them and sell the old board.

New Puddle Jumper looks nice and will probably turn better than the pocket knife.

Thanks. This is something I have been thinking about. sort of angling towards the V3 rocket now which would overlap my dhd but has some flip in the tail... seems like I could take it out in bigger surf
