Yeah this place has become boring. The same trolls trying to stir the pot, aggro Douche Canoes who think they are pros and that surfing is about proving something, telling guys "hey man if some guy looks at you weird in the surf just throw buckets in his face!" I thought surfing was about free expression and wave sliding not amassing points and training for the World Tour. Whats next a series of surf better videos like the DVD workouts that took the world by storm in the 90's-early 2000's?

Spot on. There's about 4 stalking trolls remaining, Carter, you're absolutely correct. They post complete drivel, nothing at all to do with surfing, very boring kiddie schoolyard antics & they launch one personal attack after another. It's not even close to quality, intelligent hatorade. Even the insaaane1 posts things about surfing, as twisted as he is, whereas the stalker trolls are obsessed with certain people on this Forum & post accordingly. At this point? They make me yawn, and they're easy to ignore. Honestly, they should be banned on the grounds they do zero for surfing, but hey that's not my call. Strongly rec Barbados: cool & friendly people, healthy food, very good waves & tropical temps all 'round.

Happy to assist if I can. Stayed at an apartment in St. Lawrence Gap. Nice place: literally on the ocean. I've stayed in that area before, and prefer the Gap over the west or east coasts or up north in the country near Bathsheba. The Gap has many options for eats & is close to Oistins & supermarkets. You're 10 mins to Freights if a decent S swell hits, 10 mins to Southpoint on 'other' swell, 40 mins to Duppies & Maycocks for the NNW swells and 50 mins to Soup & Parlors for the big Kelly Slater stuff if it arrives while you're there. Booked lodging & rental rig through Melanie Pitcher at www.surfbarbados.com Melanie is super cool, very helpful & is a superb surfer, too; Mel gets everything arranged so you can just land at BGI, drive, surf, crash, repeat. She also has boards & gear for rent if you don't feel like coughing up to the airlines. Although JB is the cheapest of the gouging airline board fees. Hope you go & git some. March & April are great months there.
