yes its their job but dude has no life i mean come on dude knows what hes doing out there....not like hes running into the pier or shoting it.
some cops just want to serve and protect the sh!t out of every person they encounter. i feel safer already
one time i got caught speeding......had had afew..... Haliewa police... i got so lucky; he smiled and let me go.
you know that cop woudnt even dare to swim out there. hes doesnt really care at all he is just a pawn to collect money for the city and state.
theres a good video online somewhere during hurricane Irene in Belmar(its really Belmar) where the cops stand guard and a few surfers ran past them and paddle out,but failed when they left the water too early lol. what I don't get is,they do this every year for hurricanes, which in a way its smart, because its prime tourist season warm water and its the regular folks who end up in trouble.but during the winter when the waves are 9ft and 37degree water on a south swell with rips everywhere,no problem no hassle. so its safer to go in the ocean in the winter after a noreaster than it is to go in when the water is warm
found it lol and its really Belmar!!!!the hype is real
for waves like that and i couldnt go anywhere else hell yeah i would paddle out then i would paddle way down the beach later to get out. look at those bmar bombs.
VeeBee had major surfing restriction last century. no surfing from 10 to 5 except 1st st, and south side of the pier. Maybe croatan. They'd send out helicopters and boats to get people out. My buddy came in at 11 one time and 2 piggies, dressed like tourons, jumped off their beach blanket and wrote him a 75 dollar ticket. I was out after 10 on the N end and a heli flew over and yelled at me thru a loud speaker to get out. I just paddled about like I didn't hear. He got lower and louder, but I still couldn't hear. He got so close, the water was churning, then took off. I got right out then. They'd be in boats then rush in to nab us. we'd just move inside. One time they were screaming at us and a young kid paddled to them. He was snatched up by his hair and had him in the boat for a long time, drifting way out. They toss him out for a long paddle back.
the funniest thing with cops pulling people out the water is when u get on beach they ask u for id.like yea officer let me pull my soaking wet wallet out my arse.never been called out by the boys in blue, just the boys with whistles lol
one time in AC (anybody else remember it or am i the resident AC grandpa on this forum?) the ACPD pullled up a bus onto the boardwalk and filled it with defiant surfers. and jailed 'em. for some reason this never happened again.
Just to play devils advocate, if people would not sue so freaking much we wouldn't have towns doing all they can to prevent those lawsuits. But yeah they do love to write tickets for revenue too. On the other hand, hey pig when somebody wants to know why the beach is closed please give a better answer then "because it is". An answer like that is why people hate you.
