don't be so sure. right or not lots of surfers are non-conventional athletes. anyone of them can shine white hot. funny sport; ours. sometimes has a between 'between the lines' aspect.
Maria, On the other thread you said you were wearing a 2/3 in Delaware??? If you are serious about increasing your stamina and improving your surfing, I would highly suggest bumping up to, at the very least, a 4/3. You'll surf longer and more frequently at this time of year. That will increase your stamina. You'll notice it when you drop back into the 2/3 in the Spring and when you go suit free in the Summer. Also, drink Jack Daniels. He's been my buddy for 3 decades now.
Haha i dont even have the attention span to read half these posts...btw im enagaged to and wonderful surfer and we have a kid, thought id like to point that out ...but thank you all for the suggestions! Writing a workout plan tonight! Need to get in shape...and skimming is still being in the water
Skimming will NOT help increase the endurance needed for paddling, which is what you do (or should be doing) 90 percent of the time you are surfing. Next time, even if there are no waves instead of skimming take your board out and paddle around. Set distance goals. Increase the distance. That way, any whiskey you drink afterwards is well earned.
Mm very true...I used to do that all summer...maybe thats why i had more endurance then. Its just so damn cold. Im investing in atleast a 4/3 here soon.

Baddy, to clarify, I have no problem with the natural stuff it's the excessive use of alcohol that has posed problems for some I know. Not neccessarily in the water just in life in general. Some problems I'm just a natural at! lol.
