This may be old news, since I am never cutting edge, but I recall the uproar when the WaveJet appeared. This is intriguing that WaveJet is closing up shop. Kind of positive in the sense that surfing still has certain parameters (good ones) that may never change. Such as: paddling! Ok, let the jokes, the personal attacks & the tread derailment process commence.... http://wavejet.com/ "We regret to announce that WaveJet has decided to cease production of its surfboards. This decision was a very difficult one. Over the past 5 years WaveJet has developed exciting new technology and products that truly revolutionized the surfing industry..."
dude the wavejet is awesome,im so mad they are gone!!! I love catching 2 footers on them, its a hard task but the motor really helps. I remember I seen lakey Peterson on shark tank a while ago promoting sups,or a sup workout, something like that.and her grandpa invented the thing that makes egg mcmuffins.hoggin all the good sheit
there are quite a few motorized board brands...but obviously not enough buyers to support all of them. Appears wavejet was one of the weaker designs.
It's depressing thinking about those days and what it will be like. F*ck I wanna stay "young" forever... Not become a shell of myself. I would do whatever I had to do to stay in the water and riding waves though.
