This is officially my last thread on here, this forum is not what it used to be and I'm losing interest in surfing mainly because of lack of waves and lack of time. Surfing is the greatest thing in the world, but I suck at it and it ****s up my grades and my athletic ability in other sports. You can't mix surfing and baseball. So adios my fellow amigos, yankee keep on hating bro, and white castle, I hope you obtain colon cancer from all of them damn white castle burgers you eat One last thing, guess what former member I am.
Listen shart hunter, this is an awesome decision. I wish there were more like you get everyone you know to stop surfing too.
Always had a fond spot in my hate-filled heart for you, shorty, and your line about the colon cancer burgers is one of your finest. No idea who you were, or who you are, but may the road rise up to meet you, and I hope that you get some good waves wherever you travel. If there's any chance you can take raddamoron with you, or theinsaaane1 whoa, you could be nominated for HOF status here. Just sayin'....
um.. you can easily mix surfing and baseball both are about core strength and shoulder strength helps a bunch too... homeschooling is the way to go if you wanna surf more... are you sure there isn't a deeper reason you're giving up surfing? your situation sound exactly like my own and I can't wait to get back in the water again..
surfing is difficult. It takes years and years of being in the water to master even the basics...and, even then, half the surfing population will never have the coordination and/or style to surf well. With all due respect, "surfing f*cks up my athletic ability in other sports" is a one of the dumbest things I've read in a long time. Surfing isn't f*cking up your grades...you're just a moron (so am I). You basically just outed yourself as a one of the many unfortunate retards out in the water who want to surf, but just don't have "it". I wouldn't be surprised if I sucked at baseball...if I gave a sh*t about it. Stay out of my field and I'll stay out of yours.
I didn't know surfing was something you had to be really good at to enjoy. I have been surfing for 3 years, and I am barely above a beginner. I still don't feel comfortable in anything above chest high. However, I still love it, and continue to paddle out.
Doing something and being good at it are two different things.. I've never surfed..yet.... but will one day...I doubt I'll be any good at it but it'll be fun
The only think you'll learn from baseball is how to chew tobacco and scratch your junk. THERE IS NO CRYING IN SURFING!!!!
know what you want man. i'm a soph in high school right now and i get all a's and occasional b's while training for lacrosse all year long (lacrosse and baseball are both spring sports), i also had perfect attendance last year and so far this year, AND yet i still have time to go surfing on the weekends and the weekdays. i leave school early for the weekday sessions. obviously during the spring i won't be surfing as much as right now since i'll have lacrosse every day but sunday, but that's only for 2-3 months out of the year. so there's no need to quit surfing as a whole over a seasonal sport. does anyone think this dude is HOL? i'm pretty sure he's a freshman in hs and it seems like he's in shock from the seriousness of high school sports.
It sounds like shortboarder here is an addict. Only addicts, feel they have to quit, to make their lives better. He'll be back, as he is clearly hooked on the good stuff.
I feel like surfing is really starting to cut into the time i spend in my underwear flexing in the mirror. Swellinfo is the gateway drug. I must begin to refrain.
The only difference is, surfing isn't the bad kind of drug that ruins your life it's like mentioned on a different tread, the surfing "drug" saved Kelly Slater from a probable life of drugs
