yeah i just checked out their myspace page, and they appear to be laying low for the weekend. just some minor fishing
shark I ran into a bull shark down at the coffee shop this morning. He said there is a big super bowl party down at the sandbar and they are all busy chasing baitfish and getting wasted. Sounds like they are all busy.
You live in the shark attack capital of the world and you're wondering if there are going to be sharks??? Seriously, are you retarded?
Seriously. It's their ocean. We'll see more and more of them as they start to come back closer to shore to mate. Just keep a watchful eye out there, try and surf with people and away from fishing lines.
the spinner sharks are the easiest to see. because they jump out of the water and try to bite your face. seriously. i'm not worried about the underwater sharks - the bulls, tigers, lemons, sandsharks, even those silly looking hammerheads - you almost never see them jump up out of the water. they cruise by. how are they gonna bite your face if they just swim around in the water? but a spinner shark will jump up and bite your face! also the spotted eagle rays are easy to see when they jump out of the water and try to stab you in the chest with their bayonet tails as they steal all your surf wax. beware the eagle rays!
You forgot to mention the fact that they are jumping and biting faces while spinning which obviously makes for a much more serious injury to one's face. But sometimes if you're lucky, after a run-in with a spinner shark, a nurse shark will come along and help sew you up & give you some medication. And that's pretty cool.
australia sharks Doesnt Australia have more shark attacks? I lived there in 02 and they have shark nets for ****s sake!
GWs Australia doesn't have more shark attacks than Florida, they just got the mean and nasty Great Whites that play for keeps down there . . .
...and we have tigers and bulls that play for keeps here. Bull sharks may not be as big or gnarly looking as whites, but they are definitely more aggressive and have probably attacked more people than all the other types of sharks combined.
about the bulls That is true. And another interesting fact about the bull shark - only shark known to give birth and live up to one year in fresh water!
