Probably not....but I'm the only (first name) around here....y. ou don't hear that name often. I have never worked R.J's but I have been known to help or give advise to anyone to advance their skills. Actually i was helping a guy out there when you paddled up, he couldn't seem to catch a wave. ..I told him to move in a bit and paddle like a madman. ..aaand he started to catch waves

finally got out after a two month hiatus (right around the time this thread started). Stomach to Occasional three footer...fast angled little zippers somewhere North of Lighthouse. Broke leash mid sesh and had to swim (thankful it was a smaller day since I have been out of commish). No Gloves was nice!!! Wind came up after 2.5hrs. Thankful I get to post in this thread...you guys have been on it the last two months making me envious!!!

not sure if you're referring to me or not...
I live in VB, but I might as well live in NC.
my girl is from Cape May so that's where I would've been starting. only surfed cape may once and the loc's were tellin me that OCNJ is almost always better. saw a lil southerly swell headin that way for sunday and down there is SO south facing I figured something might light up. I think it fizzled though.

Yeah I'd say the waters gonna take a while to warm up this year..at this rate you might still need that 5 mill in April..last year that nice swell we had in mid April I was toast in the 4/3 3 mill boots and gloves..a month later I was down to my 202 full SS

    nah - i fumbled.
crowd bad and tide pulling out hard; decided to wait on incoming tide.
which, by the time it arrived, the swell was 1/2ft.
disgusted; i went f/w fishing and got two pickerel.

Nice! That was one of my favorite game fish when I lived in CM County. And they can get BIG. A big Chain Pickerel on light tackle is about as good as it gets in fresh water, IMO.

    you're invited.
i've been parking at the dorms and walking in to stockton state; lake fred i mean.
place runs hot and cold but almost never other fishermen...
and....if your boat capsizes....you just stand up.

    geez; hope not.
if i saw a nudie hard body......instead of doing what i would want to do....
i would probably have a coronary.

I pulled a hamstring in Dec. so I hadn't been surfing until this past sunday. Water was a balmy 55 with sunny upper 70's for the high temp. Waist to stomach high and hollow glass.Absolutely beautiful day. I think I surfed the worst I ever have but still got out stoked!
