How to get your surfboards to fly for free

    So I got it locked in today, told them I was on orders showed them my id and they spent 20mintes trying to figure out a way to charge me. They wanted to so bad because it was two surfboards. I just got saved 300-600$. How have yall got out of it this?is the only way it has worked for me. It was us air the most expensive too. Anyone got another tricks?

    Get your boards high or the airline staff.

    you could just cut up a beater board then tape it back together like that one dude did

    Only flew with a board once.
    I knew the fee's were $150 each way. Went to curb side, slipped the bag checker a 50 and he checked it as a second bag... This was like 5 years ago out of EWR
