Well, at least you can provide a logical reason. BTW,, it is the same reason other NIMBYs provide as well.
But, good enough. Now....turn your computer off!!! Surrender your car. We are the Oil Police!!!

Key word in your post was estimate. Why not explore to see if there is more? Also I find it funny that now that this thread is active there is an Oil Boom ad on my screen to the right. Guess just talking about it gets ad exposure for big oil.

Would depend on how they explore and how destructive it is. The airgun cannons do pose problems for whales, dolphins, turtles and bottom dwelling creatures.

o barry. I would glady surrender my car if it meant an end to big oils rape of the planet but their are many, such as yourself, who only see profit in the continued destruction of the earths ecosystem. I am not against collecting and using resources in a responsible and sensible manner. I know that if the oil co.s are allowed to have their way it will only be about their bottom line. Why shouldn't the people whose lives and jobs will be negativly affected by another Deepwater Horizon event be concerned? In the end I'll just have to agree to disagree with you. I love the land and water I was raised on. I guess it's a southern thing?

Sorry bud, but I agree with you entirely--you are not alone. Except for the "see only profit " statement.
We just need to find a better way. Until such time, we need to keep on drilling. Your nations economy is entirely based on it, and dependent on it.
We will get there, eventually, but long after you and I are way gone....

I couldn't find pictures so you'd be sure to understand.

The provision in the law I am talking about is the one that says the purpose of the corporation is simply to make money for shareholders. Every jurisdiction where corporations operate has its own law of corporate governance. But remarkably, the corporate design contained in hundreds of corporate laws throughout the world is nearly identical. That design creates a governing body to manage the corporation--usually a board of directors--and dictates the duties of those directors. In short, the law creates corporate purpose.
