so your in the hvac business that's pretty cool.thats the one trade I really have no clue in,wish I would've took it in highschool.would've been awesome if u could've opened a shop down south.i just figure they wouldn't have the money to keep u working consistently.i always wanted to start my own business but feel its a battle u can never win with all the other companies.i would be generous with paying my employees and I would steal a few people from some of my old jobs.in this line of work u make shyt while the bosses pocket all the doe.i remember old jobs,id grind a thousand flanges,then have to box em in qa and see they are selling them for 20 bucks a flange which is 20 geez while it took me a week to cut and debur em at 15 bucks an hour.and that's just the little things.putting up buildings,steering I beams,crawling up a 40 ft ladder with a 80lb magnetic drill, a sack of nuts and bolts that way a few hundred pounds.i make decent money,not great money but enough that I don't starve while engineers who cant design a plan make 90 grand a year.thats another thing I really hate lol,they draw up some prints but have no clue what it takes to build shyt and have a something with a quarter inch gap and somehow u have to fit in bolt in there.actually the engineers probably have it way worse since everybody on the job is going into their office yelling at them on how to do their job.

 

you know the republicans in va/pa are trying to lower the wages of skilled workers.like how the repubs are like Obama we need the keystone pipeline,ok granted but u think its going to be built right when u lower everyones wages.sure well sneak a few Mexicans in here for 10 bucks an hour to dig a trench and lay the pipe and weld it with more holes in the face than ray liotta(that means its going to break and.....booooom)

The CR king pin originally wanted to make me an A/C repair bidniz. But I doubt I could climb a thatched roof to fix one.
I do mostly restaurant equipt repair. Refrig, ovens, steamers dishwashers. NOBODY wants to work on those. Sheet! keep me off a roof in summer, and I'll waller in yer schitt. I have a master HVAC licence, but if I do more than 10% my insurance goes up. That's weird since gas and electric cooking devices are dangerous a hell.

People are just animals that believe in stories. Some of them can sort the signal from the noise, but most are very easily distracted by media, identity, and race to a sufficient point that they do not discuss the issues at hand in any measurable way. They point fingers and use words, and identify with or against parties, but they're not saying anything. To borrow a term from Orwell/Yankee, they're just bleating, like sheep.

With the internet today, there is no excuse for the willful ignorance that Barry and so many others indulge in. Organizations like ProPublica and the Center for Public Integrity do amazing unbiased political journalism, and it's all free to access. Sh*t even Politico blows most traditional media out of the water when it comes to unbiased reporting.

People like Barry no longer have an excuse for their ignorance. His generation left us with the great recession, unsustainable economic growth, a destroyed middle class, the student loan/education crisis, and endless war. They failed us miserably and their children and grandchildren will have tougher lives as a result. Anybody here think they can refute that?

It is my greatest hope that the digital generation seizes the wonderful opportunity that is in their hands- this is the second coming of the printing press.

As for Barry, good luck leaving the U.S. man, I know our country will only be one-third of one-hundredth of a million people brighter for it, but it's a start. Here's to the future.
