hmmmmmm. Ive lived in va beach for a while and go to the high school rite next to VA Wesleyan. Its about a 25 min drive to the surf from where we are: either taking shore drive or the highway. So many people surf in Va beach. Most of the breaks are almost always crowded but the waves arent really that great. There can potentially no:confusedt be a waist high wave for two weeks, but sometimes theres 3 or 4 shoulder high days in a row. This winter and spring are an example of that. The seasons really vary in Va beach tho so bring some gear, altho if ur coming from up north its not too bad. If ur not basing ur choice strictly on 'the surf' id move to va beach.

ya, VB gets surf... often tho, you are confronted with the option to take the drive down to the Outer Banks where it is almost guaranteed to be better.
