    and sell it he would.
after, of course, complaining about the price.

pull for whomever you wish....but mitt was an obvious phony and he lost. rand talking freedom while
pandering to the psycho wing of the republican party is the same deal.

why not back somebody who can win?

Yes BUT many libertarians are pro-life. I guess the difference is how they would espouse that view. Its one thing to say 'I don't like abortion', its quite something else to say "I don't like abortion and the government should ensure any pregnant woman carries to term'.

true. but on a more basic level the "A" issue makes republicans lose elections.
i say support somebody who can win.

you know when romney got the nomination there were immediately loud groans from large numbers
of the party establishment. all saying the same thing......"you just put up a loser." he then went on to lose.

I think Rand can win the General. The problem both parties have is they have to appeal to their kook fringes in the primaries.

But, the same groaners were not happy because they thought Romney wasn't conservative ENOUGH and as a result, many of those same people stayed home on election day and that didnt help him either.

    true, again.
i just see a giant hole in rands' armor - the choice issue - and feel he could win were his beliefs not
    anchored in past defeats.

you know how his dad - an obgyn - handled the largest social issue of our time?
by forbidding it at his office. if they wanted THAT out the door they went. other peoples problem.
this is what texas thinks of women.

    effective, yes. but to survive the issue he had to dodge it. this is the stuff of business owners;
not leaders and not one who would champion liberty in america.

i'm keepin ALL my options open, its possible i might vote for rand. but i'd like to see somebody better.
somebody with (i know its corny) the right stuff.

and i ain't no hilary clone. i thought it was just wonderful when barack creamed her in the primaries in '08.

which I think opens the door for O'Malley. She has many negatives. Rands basic position is "i dont like abortion BUT until the SCOTUS changes Roe v wade, its here to stay. In the biz they call the 'nuancing your position' :)

    agree again.
but would add....."nuance" your choice position at your own peril.

a pro-choice republican would win; combined with 'obama fatigue' it would be a successful 1/2 punch.
and - i'll go out on a limb here - thats what its gonna take for the repubs to win.

put another way, give the election to hilary by nominating rick santorum.

we can only hope we are not faced with that choice.
at least hilary can say....i'm experienced....(though imo kerry making her look bad as sec of state).

santorum/cruz....offer.....more of the same. abortion blather. again.
really sick of that word/issue. i often wonder why it won't go away. like every other issue...i mean, eventually recedes. not that one.

Its a highly charged issue. Many people believe you are actually murdering a child and that is powerful.

    it does seem like it.
one problem being....though it takes 22tango.....the guy skates.
    nobody calls him a murderer.
i think american women are taking a stand here and rightly so; cause they can run the guys do.

not unlike enjoying a restaurant meal but fleeing before the check.

another thing is there there seems to be no room for compromise. Both sides have firmly entrenched positions.

The issue should be put to a vote. a plebiscite.
Females ONLY allowed to vote. Males STFU!
After all, it is for them, not for us idiots and morons.

this more than ANYTHING bothers me about this issue.
if you believe honest abe when he said a house divided cannot stand...and i do.....are we being
    intentionally divided?

i do not believe there is a country on earth who could conquer us through warfare.
conquering america FROM WITHIN has to be the only option were your goals to steal a nation.
and if you're gonna steal one, why not the greatest?
