IMO, we are too divided now ideologically to stay together and about the only thing that can save us is a return to states rights.
nothing wrong with states rights. its actually an awesome idea and shows the wisdom of the founders. They knew we are diverse people and gave each state the right to show that diversity within a larger framework of broader rights.
you know, if you travel just from one state to the next; we ARE different. sure we are quite similar but diversity pervades. so, if we split up into states.....lets have some fun w/this... gefilte fish nation...all white, they got the actual gold, male-timidity defines them. indigenous types - well, they got what everybody else didn't want. kkk state - cops CAN actually shoot black males w/o penalty sharpton state - black cops can actually shoot black males w/o penalty bi-sexual biker states - one for the blue, other for the pink. they can argue on their border only. and what of us pasty non-confrontational faux-intelligent often sloth doomed to melanoma types??? you know, surfer dudes?
the problem is that people are stubborn. Abortion. To me it's a non-issue. Everyone gets all bent out of shape over it every 4 years, as power switches back and forth from liberal to conservative but nothing happens. Nothing has changed in my lifetime. You want to know what I think is an issue? Government surveillance- Young people hate big brother. These are the young people that would usually show up and vote liberal, like college kids, and in general young people that don't give a f**k about religion (like myself). Rand came out strongly against the NSA eavesdropping on american citizens. That also sounds like he will be in opposition to the patriot act, which was probably the biggest victory achieved by the terrorists to date, making us live in fear of our own government. He also stated that he had no plans to cut defense spending, that keeps all of the military folks happy. No democrat will ever stand up and claim that. He has a libertarian background so he is against Obama care, welfare, gun control, non-violent convictions (drugs...), subsidies and government regulation of industry. A few of those may be hard for some to swallow but I am in 100%. F**k traditional republicans. It's just oil and religion, two things that are quickly becoming outdated. I also agree that democrats hate freedom, though it was a republican that passed the single largest infringement of freedom in our history (see patriot act comment). I think people will vote for him. I will be one of them.
not just government surveillance...people rail against boogiemen like big pharma and big oil when they really ought to be concerned with companies like Google. Rand is also against police militarization
there was a few documentaries about Skynet/Google and how they created a bunch of super machines to go back in time and kill this guy.
problem I have with rand is hes not his father.he doesn't have the same values, beliefs,he just wants to impress his fellow republicans.he proved that last election where he came out endorsing Romney after his father verbally killed Romney.but if it was between him and jeb id definitely vote rand. I think hilliary has a chance.i don't think shes so bad.yea shes evil,i don't know what bill ever saw in her,but she seems like the first one that will pull the trigger.and idgaf about Benghazi, shyt happens,u can blame everybody involved, its not all on hilliary, and even if it was still don't make a difference.she does seem very dangerous but in a good way.id just rather have another Clinton than a bush.nobody likes busch. santorum was a part of Halliburton that got americans killed in Iraq so id rather cut off my balls before voting for that little monkey sheit.ted cruz is a douche.i don't think I heard about any democrats running other than hairy Clinton. if ron paul was elected 8 yrs ago America would be pretty freekin shweet right now
Is he even still alive? If not, maybe he could do a Bernie kind of thing, like at least for the debates? Biden, Trump and the wildcard Perot, now that would be an election.
