#22 will always remain inspirational to me. Life can be so cruel; but some manage to rise above and transcend despite their circumstances. A lovely young lady who taught us all what real strength and compassion is all about. Please take a moment from your busy day to learn about this magnificent example of how we should all live our lives. Never stop chasing your dreams! Whether you are religious or not, please remember this remarkable person in your prayers and seriously consider donating some $ for cancer research. Sorry that this is not surfing related but I felt it was important to share. "Life is a task garden, Heaven is a playground"
Very sobering. Replaying Lauren's score of the opening bucket against Hiram College, with the Hiram players 'in on it' is always a powerful moment.
So true. A natural right hander she made that shot left handed since her body was already betraying her. She is in a better place now.

What a great human being. She was raising money for cancer research, even though she knew it wouldn't help her case. RIP!
All good WBF, I thought it was Lauren Hill the musician at first so I Googled it and realized it was this very brave young girl. It's hard for me to complain about minor ailments I may have when I see / hear about things like this. I consider myself very lucky to be relatively healthy. It kind of removes all excuses to see someone fight to the very end and not give up on their dreams, even in the face of death.
Yes! We are lucky to have our health. Treat each day as if it may be your last. Live life to the fullest and love your brothers and sisters.
