Sick Van Man, we scored saturday too.

#SuiteCaroline, where'd you paddle out, if you don't mind me asking? B/c there was cleanliness to be had.

Fun sesh with the Riled one up in Gansett way. Some closeouts but many clean corners to be had. Then a fish sandwich.

After work session today....SW wind, glassy waist high weak a-frames, 75 degree air temps right down to the beach with the offshores. Hot sun at 5 p.m.....man compare that to six weeks ago! Feels like spring!!

This afternoon - Delmarva. Fun waves and the wind never came up. Miracle for a 75 degree day.

3/2 no gloves, even swam out with a camera to shoot some friends getting a few.

impressed that you nailed a sesh that included a 10 deg buoy uptick.
considering, in general, water temps round here about 45 deg three buoys ystdy afternoon reported 55.
    sshook, delbay and cape charles.
i imagine those circumstances will not apply to my next sesh on tues......

Just got back from eight days on Oahu; stayed in Haleiwa and surfed twice a day, every day but one. Chun's, Beach Park, Pua'ena Point were all good. A good sized NW swell came in this past week and I got to see what 7ft @ 21 seconds feels like when it hits an outside reef...sets just plow through the lineup. Yesterday on my last morning out, the swell was fading but still super fun and there were two humpback whales just outside of the lineup in Haleiwa. Great stuff. Also got to see Sunset at about 20ft and Waimea just starting to break. Pipe was effed up due to some sand buildup but the bodysurfers and spongers were loving it.

Pumping this afternoon! Best sesh in a nice long while. Shot these after surfing 2+ hours in clean HH conditions.

BTW, the guy in the pics is riding an asymmetric board FWIW. All I know is...yeeeeewww!

^dang, that board looks tiny. Nice waves. Looks like north west coast...only colder and murkier.

I got a couple days in last weekend. Friday was DOH at the beach break, so I went to the reef and scored a few head high reelers. More crowded than I've ever seen it, so I was lucky to get anything with all the longboarders hogging it (there was really no need for a longboard out there). Water was supposedly in the mid 50s and I had on a 4/3, hood and booties, but I was still cold.

Sat dropped to just overhead at the beach break, but onshore flow killed it. Ugly crumbly lines closed out the whole beach. Checked the reef on the way home and, fortunately, it was still just rideable and no wind. Rode until the tide got so low, rocks and too much kelp were exposed.

Finally, Sunday was good at the beach break, although overcast. Clean, meaty head high+ and practically no wind. Crowd was surprisingly manageable and I got some good ones. Went straight up on this one heavy ugly closeout section and almost killed myself...got a nice fat bruise on my back where the board whacked me (or is it from when I then got thumped on the sand bar). Froze my ass off the whole time.

Got out again today. Small and weak but super clean little knee high peelers. Just me and my stepson on a beautiful spring day. Just happy to be there

My Monday morning cancelled out at work, so of course I headed to the beach at dawn and was richly rewarded. SI had a massive undersell of knee to thigh high. It was clean for the first hour with Waist to shoulder high sets, about 20 guys on it, but plenty of room. I felt like I was playing hooky as it was a Monday. Some smaller sets rolled through as a preview for later in the day.

Lots of whistling and hooting by the men for the huge sets coming through

My buddy said I took this one wave just right and That when I popped up it was several inches above my head. I am 5'4" so, it was big for me. Maybe my biggest ride ever. And the water was warm waves were coming down by 9:00 and wind was starting to create some texture. I will treasure that ride forever.

good surf today in sojersey......whackin 30 mph offshore yet somehow a solid 3 foot groundswell from
the south made it in....and hitting the banks well......had a bit of longer period signature and was not
well forecast so it was not crowded. but its still cold. multiple 1/200 yard rides and a tunnel or two.....

This morning, Mission Beach was so good! Didn't see another soul from the Jetty to PB Pier.
got what felt like the longest sand bottom barrel of my life. Just kept growing down the line and crept out before the section closed on me.
