when i was like 12 or something i got into a fight with some kid from a different soccer team after the game in the parking lot. as i slipped around in cleats on asphalt fighting this kid... his big brother jumped on me and beat the sh!t out of me. my dad just stood there. another parent broke it up and i just rode home in silence. black eye, bloody knees and lip. when we got home my mom asked what happened. my dad only said something like "he lost". i said something like "it wasn't fair" and before i could finish the sentence the old man picked me up by my neck and took me outside. he used his angry dad voice and said " life's not fair". that's all he said. we ate dinner and my mom had no idea. synopsis: life's not fair.

From my pops that he lifted from Bo Schembechler. Dad played football at Michigan and scored two tds in the '69 Ohio State game, I miss him everyday.

Oh Ya, probably one of the best ones I have ever heard in the work environment when promoted to group lead. "As Manager, don't be an A-hole to get people to work for you.. That just makes you an A-hole and nobody wants to work for you"
"well youd better start shaping surfboards and sell them out of your car" my dad told me that after I whined about my pay rate and relocation timing at my job last night. Problem is I dont know how to shape. Thanks pops.
"The same people you misuse on your way up, you might meet up on your way down." Oh, and "Keep Surfing"
