    Roy is an English, Scottish Gaelic and French name of Norman origin. This family name originated from the Normans, meaning "Northman" in several Scandinavian languages,[1] who were the descendants of Viking conquerors.[2] The derivation is from the word rey or roi, meaning a king or chief, and in medieval times was used as a nickname either for one who behaved in a regal fashion, or who had earned the title in some contest of skill. It also appears in Scottish Gaelic, from the word ruadh, meaning red.

    Quite frankly, Emass, Roy doesn't "owe" any of us "proof" of anything. We could demand the same of you regarding your travels, etc. I will repeat--it seems to me, that Roy, has done more in the world of surfing and board construction than the rest of us on this site. Pease note--I include myself in that as well.

    Looks to be some good footage of Roy on his mid-lengths in big waves here. Roy comes in at about 20 seconds. Also, is that a young Bruce Jenner?
