Looks like the swell that originated tonight from the Low Pressure off Jax with 5-7 footers in the offshore nook is actually hitting here in SoFla on Wednesday (tomorrow), 5.9 ft. @ 7 seconds.

I've been called and asked (by my friend's 13 year old grom) if its worth skipping school tomorrow.

Maybe it will be sic, maybe meh, but I'm looking forward to it.

I'm taking my wife down to Key West this weekend, so it should be epic at my home break on Sunday.

    7 seconds? That's like 3 less than 10 seconds. ;)

Same thing I tell him every time - stay in school, there will be lots of waves this weekend.

Wind is sideshore. It is supposed to go calm to light offshore later. I'm sooo sick of windchoppe. I'll be at work until then.

Dew Point will be a huge factor on skipping class. There is a hint of convective initiation in the 00Z4(European) models but it appears to be terrain induced. Weak steering flow from the dominating southerlies will result in the low stalling over much of the coast. Spotter Emass is reporting abnormal water temp shifts most likely due to pockets of whale urine.

I only get stoked on swell period of 18 seconds or greater. Depending on the dew point, of course.
