    Science!

Imagine taking a pill in the morning, then surfing all day without getting a sun burn. That would be amazing and should greatly reduce cases of melanoma.

BTW, this would technically be a GMO sunscreen, so fear monger away!

Yes! This makes me extra happy, because I am horrible at reapplying sunscreen. I now wear rash guards all summer to help remedy the issue. I don't like wearing them, but the alternative is much worse. I have a few moles on my back that will likely have to be cut off in the near future. I am sure it will be an unpleasant experience.

    lolz.
Been bald for over 20 years. I put #50 on Monday and surfed from about 10:00 until 12:30 ish and got too much sun. Almost always wear a rash guard because of this. I'd guinea pig up in the name of science for this one.

PS that's not mars that's a Hollywood movie set. <grin>

I still have my hair, but when it is wet I am sure I am not well protected.

My wife is a redhead and uses sunscreen religiously, but her face breaks out after using it sometimes. She would love it if she could use pill form to avoid the bright red glow in the dark look.

Brew...I can attest that it is in fact an unpleasant experience. You should go now. I put it off and one of them was Melanoma In situ. I too wear long sleeve rashy during the summer. Melanoma is no joke....

The science behind this pill is interesting. Thanks for sharing

It is on the list of things to do. Unfortunately, my company doesn't cover any medical costs until I hit my $1k deductible. Blah!

Yea...mine is similar. Better to knock out early in your plan year from a deductible standpoint. Also, your plan probably requires a referral for dermatologist. Finally, once you go through the motions and you get the bill (up to $1000 plus whatever your copay is thereafter), just go on a payment plan with Physician's office. I had two procedures that were $600-$700 each. You may not need anything done and your just paying for the body exam.

Skin cancer is deadly if you put off treatment. Get on it right away. You don't want it to spread to your bones, organs or lymph nodes. Don't you have a wife or mom to nag you about it?

I have had so many skin cancers lopped off my scars make me look like bambi. I am the dork who wears the eco-stinger whole body rashguard if I surf peak hours in the sun!

you guys with high deductibles, do you have flex spending? if so, jump on that to cover your deductible.

I have an HSA, which gets loaded with $500 a year. It helps, but still doesn't cover enough. I think many big corporations are going to the high deductible plan. I miss my days of working for Fiat. The Italians covered all health care. I just had to pay a small copay.
