The thought crossed my mind, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Either way this thread and a sixer of sierra nevada is keeping me mildly entertained.

Not me...the local beer store is selling Ying Lager for $13.99 a case. At that price I cant pass it up. But its still some pretty mediocre beer if you ask me.

Clem, I tried to pm you but you are full. Did you use plans for that or straight from scratch?

Well I made the plans myself. I had a free trial of AKU SHAPER and made the shape there. Then used another program called hollow wooden board template maker. Not sure if it's still free online.

Probably gonna buy a month from AKU and try to crank out a bunch of designs and save them. I have a handful of projects to complete before that happens though. If you're interested I'll talk you through and let you know what you're getting into.

How intuitive is AKU Shaper? I have some experience with vectorworks and simple AutoCad design software. How complicated is the software to learn on your own?

$65K and you can have the program and a CNC sent out to your house.

It's pretty easy. The free version I had was limited but it worked fine for me. There are a few stock designs and you can tweak each one to your liking. I'm not familiar with vectorworks but AKU is solely for surfboards, SUPs, etc.

Compared to AutoCAD it's like riding a tricycle... any 4-year-old can effectively use it.
