I walked out on the porch right before reading this and I couldn't believe how much more chill it was. Seems like about 60 to 75 percent of everyone down left. Thank ****ing god!! It was a straight up circus this weekend. The people you only see at the State Fair were everywhere. Folks getting married at the busiest accesses at 1pm, fat people having trouble just walking the access stairs making for major hold-ups and the ones that made it would sit one foot from the stairs spralled out in the hot sand so you couldn't get by and more kooks trying to surf than I can remember. I was stupid and tried for a little while yesterday but could only stomach it for a couple waves. I put off all yard work for last last two weeks to get caught up while holed up this weekend and actually de-coldwaxed ALL my boards too. Looks like I have a new quiver now. I think that's going to become yearly ritual.
I did go to a beach bar here in DE and the amount of douche bags is amazing!! I mean, I knew what I was getting myself into. Not sure why people think the random, "USA" chant is cool. Not sure why you think putting your drink in the air and jumping up and down is going to end well. Not sure why people think the random high five is cool. I could go on and on

A cabana boy had to rescue a (clueless) city lifeguard at Riviera public beach yesterday. 11 rescues in 3 days at my local.
