Point Break is a pretty good "bad" movie. I never thought Lori Petty was all that hot. Today she looks down right hideous. Sorry I'm getting off subject. It's quite entertaining and ridiculous at the same time. I give it two and a half out of four stars.

 

Gay because when your a surfer they always co pair you to point break or some ****. Or bring it up

I wish I could still find the article, but the story of Darrick Doerner getting worked on that final wave of PB was a great read. Barely got paid anything and got a pretty good injury out of it.

 

I watch Point Break every time I find it on TV. the Overacting is too awesome. Pure Hollywood gold.

the original point break obviously. the new point break trailer is somewhat..... horrible.

 

So, Bodhi decides to hunt out the biggest waves he can find...at Bells Beach? LOL.

Then, instead of showing snippets of big, perfect Bells going off...they show snippets of out-of-control Waimea shorepound. LOL.

Top it all off with The World's Greatest Actor Keanu Reeves, throw in some gratuitous love scenes with a really ugly girl, and some pretty lousy surfing and what do you get?

A pretty good Cult flick...but definitely not a legitimate surf flick.

About the only "real surfing" in the movie was the scene where Utah kooked out in the lineup and some wild looking local boys floated him some sh!t. That was probably the most realistic scene in the entire movie.

 

watching my dogs poop looks like a better time than watching this remake.

 

Who cares if it's not accurate? These are people in hollywood who don't have a clue about surfing or the true culture. It brought surfing to light, it was entertaining, and it had surfing in it. Hell, I'm 20 years old and dig that movie, brah.

I know, the movie is what it is. I just didn't like it...and I think the remake will be worse.

Heck, some people think "Porky's" and "Napoleon Dynamite" were classics too. I don't, but that's just my own honest opinion.

And everybody is entitled to their opinion, right?

 

the movie is hilarious! gary busey is classic haha. My favorite part of the movie is probably the sky diving scenes. They actually did those scenes live with Patrick Schwayze. He did like 90% of his own stunts in the movie including most of the skydiving.
