Fock those developers. These arseholes only cost the rest of us money. The next storm that comes through and wipes these houses out (cause they are built on a little moving patch of sand) will end up increasing insurance rates for the rest of the area.

I wish that accretion of any barrier island would be banned from development. I know I'm a dreamer.

I'm not suprised one bit. People will throw millions to have that house at the point only to invest a million more in sandbags to stop the erosion. Seent it in OIB..

Like on the OB o NC. I saw a documentary on them. they are actually moving SW. The tar crap on the water line is sound mud. In the old days, house were made from flotsam so that after the storms come, they just got to gather their house off the beach and start over.

I hear ya Barry. I'm not one to stand in the way of progress. You really can't stop growth as much as you want to.

But, did you open the article? Did you see the picture? No? Here it is.

That don't make no sense, Bo.

    Amen ClemsonSurf.
I know you can't stop development but can't we use some commonsense. I mean it's practically a freaking sand dune.

Where the road is set to go, it is less than a sand dune. Like a thin strip of beach.
