http://www.trackingsharks.com/teen-tries-to-rescue-shark-gets-bit/ Police, ambulance and helicopter(s)!?!?!?! WOW!
Now that you mention it, the bite marks DO look like his busted a$$ grill! HAHA That does sound like some damn good food, could go for some of that for sure! Spicy of course. You going fishing up in Tarpon Springs? They recently renovated the Pier and have a big ole concession stand right at the entrance. I always pass by though, never been a big fan of concession stands unless at a ball game. Probably got what you're looking for though. Can always grab a beer right there though, which is nice. Normally i would agree with you but this isn't just media hype, this kid really did get a chunk bitten out of his leg at one of the most popular beach spots in FL. So... it's kinda relevant. At least to those of us who frequent that area. It's usually other spots to the North and South that get this kind of action, so it's a little rare and hits close to home when it's a place like this. Not like i'm going to stop paddling out though. It was more of a public service announcement. If the story was just about how many sharks are migrating this time of year or whatever then yeah, it would be of little relevance. I don't know, I just feel bad for this little kid. I'll be surfing just South of where he got bit tomorrow morning.
Oh yeah, the Thai food def has a kick! When I lived over in Largo we used to go up and water ski and fish Lake Tarpon. Last time I was down we were in Merrit and he took me to a place and I had a couple small tarpon hit and run, but I never landed anything. We were limited on time because of his wedding. Nothing wrong with a session and a brew!
Deep Sea boats aren't very expensive, only like $75 - 80 for a whole day, everything included. When I want to really catch fish, that's what I do. Otherwise I go down to the Skyway Pier or around Fort Desoto. I catch more fish than I want on those boats!
is that the cocoa beach bite?i seen my cousin posted it on fb,she was there an hour later and didn't even know there was a shark attack.no signs or anything u would never tell there was just an attack.
Depending on what it is, that Thai pepper tears my a$$ up!! LOL Oh man, I miss fishing around Fort Desoto!
Good place to take the SUP out, pack a cooler, fishing pole, and a bucket of shrimp and spend the day out there, have lunch on one of those little islands. I do that with my wife sometimes.
Someone gave me great advice about sharky spots. Paddle out and find the oldest vet in the line up. Do what he does. Be where he is. He made it this far.
That would be me. I paddle (prone) 2 miles 3x week--you could not keep up with me, but you could wakeboard on my wake.....<grin>
The sea tells no tales .. There will never be signs of a former shark attack unless people start erecting white or grey wooden crosses on the beach....
no lol you know the crosses they set up along the highway etc...they could write ont them "juvenile Bull 4-5ft june 01 3:30 pm"
