any suggestions on some fun summertime excursions for us working folks on the east coast. Just wondering where everyone heads when the weather gets warm and the waves get smaller. Quick trips for those two days off or so we have a week. Was hoping to finally get to Long Island looks like a sick weekend trip. Maybe get some waves while I'm at it

Montauk is sick, but if you're planning on heading out Friday and home on Sunday you will spend A LOT of time in traffic

Dude, you just looking for bubs or anything?

New England ain't the greatest bet for summertime bubs. Especially way north. But spend a weekend in friggin Portland, Maine. Nice place.

Go to Camden and get a bunch of drugs and go to Harper's Ferry, WV. West Virginia is actually kind of cool. Has a strange vibe to it. Only spend a day there though.

Go to Lancaster, PA especially if you have a wife or whatever. Gawk at the Amish. Look for Lebanon Levi. Shop and eat. Get stoned.

I hear Cape May is totally quaint Victorian and they have ghosts in all of the hotels. Get stoned and look for ghosts. Shop and eat. Get stoned again.

Rehoboth Beach, DE - meet several Swellinfo members and surf THE BRIDGE and hit the bottom a few times for added excitement.

Of course the OBX is always a good bet for summertime bub action. Shop and eat. Get stoned. Drink and fish off a pier in the night time. Do fish sleep?

Atlantic City - stay at a hotel/casino for $800 a night and gamble, score smack and crack, shop and eat.

Aww man, there is so much going on in the original 13. Just not waves. Ha.

Spend a fantastic weekend in your state's capital city - Trenton. Visit Gnarbutter Guy and hang out on Stuyvesant Ave with Cheeseburger. SJB died in Trenton after OD'ing on 125 Hour Energy. Cheeseburger takes that 5 Hour Energy stuff and makes it into a freebase oil that turns it from 5 hours to 125 hours. Pretty good stuff if you like uppers.

Take in all your capital city has to offer. Marvel at the deserted downtown on a weekend day; hang out by the McDonalds near the Transportation Center; or take a trip down the scenic Delaware River towns on The River Line. Take the River Line south to Camden, and enjoy the beautiful sites as you head into East Camden. Get off at the Walter Rand Transportation Center and spend a few hours shopping on Broadway with your honey.

Spend a leisurely afternoon loitering on Perry St.

Trenton is your city. Trenton makes and the fuc$ing world takes.

This might be one of my favorite summertime activities.

My brother and I and a few others even get ballsy with it sometimes and float goose creek and bull run.

Manassas has some hidden gems... just gotta know where to go.

**** there are probably awesome weekend trips in the OP's backyard people just don't think to look there.

WV is where my mother is from. It's one of my favorite places in the world. Float the Upper/Lower Gauley... hold on tight. Or head up to snowshoe mtn. Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer there is always something to do up there not to mention the beautiful country roads you gotta travel to get there.

    Hey, you know Manassas, VA?

I used to know dudes from there - The Contin Kids of Southern Manassas. I loved those guys. Kind of tame for being Contin Kids, but hey, it's Northern Virginia - the classiest damn place south of New England.
