This is true. I can hardly see my feet in the water when I'm sitting on my board.

have you or do you know anyone that has surfed those outer reefs at hobe? they look like they could be sick on a massive swell like a indo wave or something.

I surf at ventnor and we all saw several sharks. Some were even in waist deep water although these were only 3-4ft sharks. We all saw a 6ft shark out the back and everyone paddled in.

    Did you measure them?

And, were you with Mason Lesser?

Of course he measured them. How else could he provide such specific dimensionnes?

And about Mason Lesser, I really need to know his opinion on the hollow wooden picture frames from New Zealand. Cole, I mean TheCole, could you get him to the forum to answer this please?

the wild thing is, aside from the apex predators like sharks/dolphins, there aren't any game fish under them. fishing for blues and stripers has been terrible the last week or so in and around monmouth county.

i watched shark week for the first time this year last night,i watch it every year but last night was the first night I caught it.

I have a new profound respect for sharks.i feel bad for them.if they bit me I wouldn't want the shark to be killed.sharks are still around since the dinosaur days.theres sharks that live over 100 years old.so some dumbazz gets bit by an old timer shark,a guy that's been cruising the seas for almost a century and its ok to just kill him off?

lol the guy on the show balanced like an 8ft tiger on the palm of his hands.its called something, dont recall, but u flip a shark over and its in sublime.u scratch its nose like u would a cat under their chin they do the same thing lol.coolest shyt I ever seen.9 times out of 10 ur not going to see the shark before it bites or kills u,but if ur in the water and see one just scratch its nose,he'll really dig it.

then they were in new Zealand and an orca literally chased like a 10 ft shark out the water into the shore break.the shark wasn't injured or nothing,he was terrified to go back into the ocean, and u seen the orcas dorsal just waiting out there for him to return.i felt bad for the shark.i hope I can bump into a shark next time im in the water.theres also signs the shark does that tells u to get the phuk out of his way.they are territorial like most animals

Got nothing against most creatures, esp Orcas & Dolphins. Most humans are useless & worthless & are just fat slobs who are inhaling the bounty of the planet.

Sharks are ok with me. What cepriano said. For once we agree. Whoa.

Mosquitoes & horseflies, that's another story.

shyt after last night im more afraid of orcas than sharks.i remember on the "blackfish" thing on cnn,an orca dragged a guy down to the bottom of the pool.but in reality they had the thing in captivity and deserved it,but that's more frightening to me,being dragged to the bottom than being bit into 2 pieces.

this summer the flys are phukin horrendous!its really like an epidemic,i sit in my car have them fly in,i go in the shop they are flying around.mosquitos never been cool fuk them.i feel like an Ethiopian having all these flys surrounding me

If a shark bites me I think it's fair if I kill him. But only me... He picked the fight by biting me. If I get him it's only fair.

I saw the post about that 6 footer the other day. That's a pretty big one. You guy's were right next door to me to. I'm sure he was down my way that Sunday. Anyways I need to go check out Ventnor sometime. I've gotten too used to OC.

I know what you're saying about mankind. No sense of stewardship or responsibility. Don't get me started. I'm trying, struggling sometimes, to maintain a positive outlook. Anyway, don't let the turkeys get you down.

Mosquitoes, horseflies, and let's add ticks and those gawd-awful, fish from the Amazon (or some such place) that can swim up one's crank and lodge themselves there.

Lots of bait fish have been running off VB. Sport fishing boats right offshore with lines in the water and commercial boats earlier this week after schools of menhaden. On top of that, the surf hasn't been much more than a ripple and barely ride-able. Paddled out several times this week anyway just to get in the water. Probably foolish in view of what's been happening just south of us.

Not real happy with yellow jackets at the moment. Was doing just out doing yardwork and stirred up a nest. I got off lucky, only got stung twice, and I got one of the lil bastards.

Oh well, I'm off the hook for yard work today at least.

hypocrite = 99.99% of environmentally conscious people.
    self-serving = 99.99% of environmentally conscious people.
manipulative = 99.99% of environmentally conscious people

homeless people are the only people with a small carbon footprint, however I've never met one that was environmentally conscious.
