Blue Barry reads Proust, by the fireside, while eating krimpets and sipping tea. Very sophisticated. How does Black Sabbath = Sepultura? F Sepultura People who don't like Rush are gay. Tool was good but over-rated. Had some good catchy choruses but always ruined songs by going on some ten minute instrumental tangent. Maynard ain't as cool as people act like he is. Shoot one of them is from Kansas or something. Kansas lol Liam, you like the singers that sing like the devil? Rggghhhhh Rgggghhhhhh AHHHHHHHHHHHH !!! Neil Peart may not be human. And finally who is this freakin Finnegan guy and when did he become the NY literary world's go-to-guy for freaken surfing? Man, novices waxing poetic aboot "surfin." Viva la Weisbecker
When I first met you! In Search of Captain Zero is a good read. Viva la W. Tool is cool. Very layered, kind of like a modern Yes. I smoked my first joint in 1973? listening to my friends older brother's Black Sabbath Masters of Reality "Sweet Leaf". It made a lasting impression. I'm mes a mes about Rush. The drum solo in Working Man is iconic. The lead singers voice drives me nuts. The band is tight, and it always takes me back to high school and doing drugs with friends in cars cruising the beach spots for tourist chicks (the local girls were over us, unless we found a bale that week). Good times.
If this is fact than I am a flamming ahole! Man do I hate Rush. I used to work for a heating and air company and all the dudes I worked with would always play that **** from Rush. I wanted to kill that lead singer who sounded like a twatty little beatch. Tool is more my speed.
With that above, you just described my late teen years living in PR. If I was not in our car, I cruised San Juan on my 1968 Triumph Bonneville, which, I might add, I worked very hard to earn the bucks to buy. It was brand new, out of the box--$975.00. The chicks all wanted a ride, but the tourist chicks were all there for more than a ride. Best of times, man, best of times.
Ya know guys, do the morons that run this site know about this constant doubling of postings?? I have to delete the copy almost every time I post. Annoying. Their surf fore castings are probably just as screwed up also??
French Canadian girls would bring down hashish. A couple of them had grandparents who had condos here, so it was a semi regular thing. They went back home with some Florida snowflakes. Not that I am condoning such behavior amongst our youth these days. Too much counterfeit product, too many guns, and social media and drone cams will get you busted. But si mi amigo, those were the best of times.
Nah, but I hang out with a bunch of them from Monmouth Co., NJ who retired down heah. Bunch of wise guys, retired firefighters, knuckleheads, ex-swordfishermen, blah blah blah...."Between you, me, and the lamppost..." We got Stevo The Guido, Vinnie the Guinea, Lou Stools, and Dirty Danny, to name a few.
I think Terry Bozzio was, like, a Missing Person or something. Singer Land Dog: Ah man you've found bales on the beach too? Man, All these people find bales on the beach. Why not me? Maybe Yankee traffickers are more efficient? I like Tool. But they seem to have a formula: Bad verse(boring leaves you waiting for chorus) Good chorus. Bad verse. Good Chorus...five minute tangent...End. Rush has good verses and good chorus and, man, their tangents aren't tangents. They were meant to be. Geddy's voice is just fine. man, you've guys need to get Permanent Waves. Blue Barry, please focus your anger on the "morons that run this site." Hey he said it not me. The powers that be are still coming down from a recent 311 performance in AC.
Tool is cool, but I'm more a fan of A Perfect Circle Finnegan's not the go to guy by any means, I don't think that's his intention. I like his perspective on the physical nature of surfing, and why people are willing to go to such lengths to surf more, better waves.
Rush has good verses and good chorus and, man, their tangents aren't tangents. They were meant to be. Geddy's voice is just fine. man, you've guys need to get Permanent Waves. There are no tangents live for sure. Same set order. Same banter between songs. Only the city's name changes. It's like doing math. (Not meth),<grin>.To each their own but I like to see bands that are at times spontaneous. If I wanna hear the CD I would just stay at home. I always wanted to bone the Missing Persons singer.
That's your opinion and others have opinion that Rush sucks. To each their own. I'll tell you what. Tool puts on a great show. Sounds like Rush is a little boring on stage. Tom Sawyer makes me want to kill myself. Definitely remind of of Journey.
Not the most flattering shot of her for sure. Hey, I was 18 and wanted to bone just about every chick I saw on MTV with the exception of Chrissy Hynde(sp) and the romeovoid singer.lolz.
We asked for a 'Bang the Bangles' contest at MTV Spring Break. That was when MTV actually did music. B4L, having just seen Rush I can tell you that they are are somewhat boring to those used to elaborate shows. The music is spot on though and that is what they go for. Regardless of whether you like the sound, most people widely agree, their music is highly complex.
