You too, seldom. My forum activity has been pretty low in the past few months. It's a combination of content not compelling me to post, my employer increasing my workload, and barry. Mostly barry.

Good going moving to Northern California. I totally loved living there @ 40 years ago. Funny that Jerry Brown was governor then too, but he was dating Linda Ronstadt. Other than the lack of water, its a pretty perfect place to live.

Well, except the earthquakes. Never did get used to those. Make sure to spend some time south in Los Angeles. That place is a trip!

I thinks we're f'd until late season. Late Aug and Sept might see some activity. But that's almost a given and super vague. There is a little low stalling off Florida right now... maybe???

I hope you are right DP. We should see some formation... a swell or two. El Nino is a winter phenomenon on the east coast and a summertime phenom out in the Pacific. We could see stronger winter conditions this year and continue to see this weak SE 2 ft swell for the coming weeks intermittently.

This past Winter was one of the best in recent memory down here IMO, Spring was solid too. I just have a feeling we'll get a run of Canes after a lackluster Cane Season past two years.

Hurricane Sandy blew our Tropical wad and it's been average to below average ever since so we're due something soon. It's gonna sneak up on us, everybody better start training now, cause if you wait till it forms it'll be too late and won't be in shape for it. I'm starting my swimming laps in the pool this week. Call me crazy, but I'm feeling good about it!

Yer crazy man but I like you.

Haters lay off spicoli, the west is better overall than the east fact.

yea...winter was good and spring was decent. We had some fun swells. Not too may "epic EC" dayz though. Me and my bud were talking a few weeks back about how it seems like the waves were so much better 20 years ago...not just tropical but in general. Anyone else feel that way?

    Yeah, I feel that way.

Or was it that I was younger and more stoked and went out in anything, which meant I was usually always on it.

    I don't know...

Nahh, it was better back in the day.

We talked about the grom stoke factor too but still agreed it seemed better.

HAHA You know how I role, eternal optimist to a fault, I can't help it! But when we get absolutely shacked and pitted you'll be saying I was right dude

Part of Winter and Spring being so good for me was just that I was surfing at higher level than I ever have (which isn't saying much) in the past and I got more water time than ever before, so it may have just been due to that, but I was stoked out of the gills all Fall, Winter, and Spring.

I think 20 years ago everything just seemed bigger and better, as we get older and more seasoned, the days we use to think were huge are more average to us. I guess it's kinda like drugs (not that I would know) but from what I hear, it's really fun at first then you chase that feeling for the rest of your life and never really achieve the same high. Riley, how goes it?
