    The only ones creating danger are the *ssholes enforcing this b*ll****. Sign the petition guys and email Dawn Dawson House at SC Dept. of Parks, Recreation and tourism.

    Yo Blasters I'm contacting local surf shops to get the word out about this BS and try to get as many people as possible to sign the petition. Fight da power!

    why did they close the break,are there high levels of bacteria or something?how do u close the ocean lol.ocean out of service.sucks man hopefully u guys get that taken care of

    They just don't want people surfing they're funny thing is I have no lifeguards and my neighbor son died trying to save his family from drowning in a rip current they just got lifeguards recently

    That is unbelievable!!! I e mailed Mrs. Dawson.. Also there is some free legal help from some cool surfer attorneys available.

    Sand is it between memorial and Labor Day like at the pier at folly? Or is it proposed year round?

    Bureaucracy is the reason. Basically Mrs. Dawson said 'cause that's how the other parks with lifeguards do it. No mention of public safety or anything else. Personally think swimmers are safer with experienced surfers in the water. At least some ones watching their kids when they are not.

    This is where you also need to contact your local Surfrider Foundation chapter because this is exactly the stuff they fight for. If they have it together (which I know the Grand Strand chapter does) they will have the backing and hopefully the legal dudes who know how to handle this kind of stuff.

    Petitions are great, but you need people in person not just names.
