41 liters and it don't work till it's waist high? it's a nice looking board, shape looks decent, just shrink it 20%. Or be a fatty.
vewy sexy. I think anything under waist high is usually LB time. I have a similar shape but at 35.5 cls.
AH>>>yes..back in Feb. Thanks for asking bro. all healed up and im actually in the best shape of my life.
Just had Jon Ashton make me that exact shape - 6'4" x 21" x 2.5" as an all arounder for this winter. It is the same as one he shaped for me 10 years ago that was one of the best mid size boards I've ever ridden. It does need a bit of size to come alive...not a shape for groveling in knee-waist IMO. Small enough to throw around and do some turns, enough volume to make paddling in 5mm. winter rubber a little bit more bearable.
Thanks...but we'll see. The last one was great, and I'm fairly certain he replicated it. This one hasn't seen wax even tho I've had it for over a month. it wont get ridden until we have a chest high clean/offshore mid-long period swell. I got it for long steep winter walls, and I'm not paddling out on it until that kind of surf shows up! But yeah, I'm fairly sure I'm going to like this one.
Good sh*t dude, I like the sound of the waves you describe, I'd give my left nut for a wave of this description. I hope its maiden voyage is as you envision it.
Exactly what it has....ample rocker, single concave to double in a vee out the back, the Jon said these eggs work best as a thruster, the last one was a thruster....so I didn't tamper with the formula. This is the bottom.
Good looking board. Mitchell, I hate high volume with the buoyancy of a winter suit. I got a 5'10 cloud nine cicada that rings in over 32L and I wanna die trying to paddle out in anything over 5 feet. never understood how people do it? care to elaborate?
