    Don't take your shutters down yet or mothball your generator. This looks like a Depression forming off the coast of Africa this week.

    As of 8:00 pm EDT Fri Aug 28 2015 ...
    A broad area of low pressure associated with a tropical wave is
    about to move off of the west coast of Africa. Environmental
    conditions are expected to be conducive for development, and a
    tropical depression could form during the next few days while the
    system moves west-northwestward toward the Cape Verde Islands at
    about 10 mph.
    * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent
    * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent

    When depressed, getting a little high always helps me get by...

    That's positive outlook problem solving skills right there.
    Stuff role models are shaped of for future generations.

    Indeed. It's sloppy chop here this weekend, but at least not flat. Not what it was looking like we would get in the forecast. several days ago. I especially hurt for sisurfdogg-- man he was so excited and got the generator fixed, board ready to go and all. Must say I have feelings of relief that no hurricane hit here, but it would've been fun to have some really good waves.

    I don't know if the gulf boys will see anything from this when the low moves into the gulf.

    Hope so. I've surfed twice the whole month of August. Starting to lose my mind. Actually it's long gone. Starting to blow my cover of looking sane

    Other than it's impact on the Cape Verde Islands, Fred looks like it will be a fish storm. But imagine if he were to make it across the Atlantic and hit Florida. Considering that the last hurricane to strike Florida was Wilma and we've got Betty calling the shots here. And no doubt there'd be some Barneys surfing it. Well, that would be some sunilarity right thar.
