Man, locals summer started with a bang in dirty jersey. Sunday was amazing, hope you guys all got some up and down the coast. Actually though, Friday was maybe even more fun. The waves were smaller, but still solid stomach sets, and *almost* nobody was out at my break. Only 1 other guy. And he sat on the shoulder and watched me take the peak again and again. Then one wave he decided to drop in on me, so i called him off. That's all. He stayed on the shoulder and took the smaller waves. Not sure why he never paddled for the peak.
Nah dude I'm not that aggro. I'll call him off my wave if I have to. And if it needs more, I definitely settle it up close like a man.
Would have bet good Chinese yuan that you, short eyes who hates the GAFFER who is a legit surfer, yes, that you, short eyes & nad shiiite are one & the same. Want to take my yuan, phatt toy cop??
I have been very busy with work; I mostly lurk the forums or just surf when it's on---I founded a company a few years ago--and yes I can make my own hours Going back to Costa this December ( fingers crossed for S Swells) and Maui in Feb.
So there were only two of you out, you were the better surfer and took all the waves from the peak while he sat there. He tried to get one wave, and you called him off. And if he needs more, you'll settle it up close like a man. You sound Fing awesome. Another approach, since it really wasn't that big, and it was empty with plenty of waves, is you could have just let him have that one wave. Mentioned he shouldn't be dropping in, maybe teach him something about sir etiquette. Maybe he would have had a positive experience and you still would have had a fine wave count, there were only two of you after all. But that wouldn't have been as bada$$ as calling him off and being ready to settle this like a man. Good job bro!
