he raises a valid point, are u some silly splinter filled wood dust brain infused yahoo? do u stroke wooden logs for a career?
but seriously is working for grain a career? or does that group have day jobs like the rest of the "craftsmen" in this tiny world.

The true craftsmen are the individual shapers who remain independent and unique and i support em all the way. Pop outs suck hard and cheap boards are the spark to kookdom. like those hideous soft tops and the such, just so bad. very very bad mkay

 

BTW Just for the sake of it... this is my new board, shaped by Proctor on its way to me. Like I said, am all for supporting the local shapers, but this board was done for me to my specifications and it only took them 4 weeks to make it for me... cant wait to ride it!

 

nice board...but unless you changed the board's outline, bottom contours, or rocker, or got down rails, etc, saying it's "to your specifications" sounds a bit exaggerated. Looks like a regular monsta chief to me...but, of course, sized for your weight, skill and wave conditions. Standard "custom".

LB said it right...I finally tried my hand at shaping this year...the first board i made...aint pretty but catches so much and...its number 1. The second board i wasn't as lucky with...still fun but a lot more work. My first longboard...so much fun...the last one so far...a fish that is super smooth...all made with hand tools, all glassed in my garage by my own two hands...all surf...none perfect, but none so ****ty that anyone riding them would care. Feel the stoke as you can. i agree cnc is overpriced but if the market is there and people gonna pay, someones gonna take the money. change all starts with you...

I expected Barry Cuda to say something like that. Of course you would think it looks like the other 300 boards in a surf shop..Lets see if I can follow your logic..... it floats, it has fins, it has a nose and a tail... YUP just like all the other boards in the world out there....LOL...

 

Yes I can see your point, but the concaves the rails, and a couple of other smaller changes are what makes this board different from what a standard custom would be.. tough to tell from the picture of course... but whatever..

 

If it is you board, and you love it....you win!!! Who freaking cares what the other 300 look like, right?? Now, I am sure, if you rurally love this board, you are going to wish it had a vagina.....
