They cut the best part when he says don't suck any **** in the parking lot and the dude in the parking lot follows her.

Most guys Sour a sesh when they're not performing well or getting waves. Dont let his bad sesh get in your head . When your surfing well/rippin your happy, laughin and passive if a mistake arises its no big deal. The guy was strugglin and basicaly kookin out.... Phuck em!!! Tell him to go home next time and if he keeps motormouthin throw some tail in his face to seal the deal and watch him leave hahahaha.

Ok sheriffs here... Let's get something straight- bradpitted doesn't just go around dropping in on people. If I'm pushed enough then it's an option. As far as the op, I think this scenario is one of those times you get some dirt thrown on you even though you didn't really alter the wave for this guy. I'd have to guess he thought you crumbled the wave on him and he bailed. Or he was just havin a bad day. All you can do is say sorry dude and carry on.
But there def is something to consider on days when the guy on the shoulder is the only guy who can make the wave. Last wed was just the kind of day. Closing out but anyone taking the shoulder can get a decent ride.

Like Dave mentioned- you didn't really snake him... But you did drop in on him. Snaking is different -when your paddling for the wave. You might have shoulder hopped too... In which the guy you dropped in on has every right to throw your stuff in the water.

I would be interested in what you guys have to say about snaking- it's a pain when a guy keeps doing it- which usually leads to that guy getting dropped in on sooner or later...

Anyways- It's really hard to tell by not seeing the wave- if the section that closed out was 20 to 30ft then it's totally questionable cause there are guys that could make it around that section. If it's more then I would say 40/50 ft then your safe. If your gonna do that sort of thing- I would suggest watching the guys on the peak to see who does have the ability and doesn't. Then when the opertunity presents its self you know if you should go or not...

So- with that being said- it really sounds like that guy was just having a bad day. I wouldn't sweat it- plus it's deal. Plus we haven't had waves in forever so he was probably just wave starved and had a bad day at work and wanted to yell at someone - then you dropped in on him so he yelled at you.

You did the right thing by kicking out. I accidentally did that a few weeks ago- I thought for sure that the guy wasn't going to catch the wave and that he was going left. As I drop in and looked and see him (was too late to pull back)- then I kicked out. I was gonna apologize but didn't get the chance cause he didn't come near me again. But he wasn't mad.

You probably should have made an effort to apologize to the guy.

I have no issue with what the real story was. Everyone here only understood the story the way they wanted to, which made me out to be the bad guy.
