Fist off hi my name's will. I'm new here been surfing for 4 yrs. And this is what I got for trying to surf a close out.
    IMAG0581.jpg
This is a 9'4 Walden Megan magic. I want to go to a fish board. Been riding loang boards for 4 yrs now,and I can ride waves consistently. I'm not sure if I'm ready to jump on a shorter board. I've been riding fun boards and long boards. I I have been eyeing a 7' super fish with a quad fin setup. So jump on a fish or stick with what I'm riding now. also suggestions on a fish. Need something for this noreaster hitting this weekend.

    Good job will!

I agree with seldome seene - you should really start a proper hello thread to introduce yourself. You know- tell everyone about yourself- where you surf what boards you ride what kind of pizza you like what your fav color is...

Anyways- did you text me the other night from Craigslist? I got a board for sale on there and you sounds like the guy.

Get something like the 7S- with the wider nose shape and more foam/volumn. You'll be fine. 6'6 to 7 ft range.

If you surf New Jerseyian wave I'm sorry to inform you surfing season is over

A 7 footer fish defeats the whole purpose..man even a **** dragger can give you advices aboutz that

Just think about it till next Labor Day...you seem like the type who's done a lot of analizing aboutz the situation

When Labor Day hits take your new stick and paddle out at Manasquan Inlet

If you dare paddle out before then your gonna die bruh

Sounds like you need a Roberts Hope diamond or maybe a Proctor Monsta Cheif to step down from that Mega Mess. That board breaking was prob the best thing for your surfing progression. Congratulations!

na we still got another 3 weeks. ive seen guys surfing in february around here. I don't blame the wave I blame myself. although the glass does seem a little thin on this one. Sorry about that Im in jersey, surf the north beach in Asbury, and lock arbor, some times sandy hook. No on the Craigslist, what kind of board u got? 20?. I guess im looking for suggestions on a fish board. Ive never surfed Manasquan I know that probably disqualifies me as a jersey surfer but I still consider myself a newb.

If you want a fish, i'd say go around 6 feet, close to 3 inches thick with a nice full nose and a swallow tail. Also consider PU, the extra weight will help the transition from to a shorter board.

Finally, pay someone to fix your log!! Its going to be heavy as hell when its done but a giant heavy log can be really fun in the right conditions.

    Welcome and good luck!

New Idea! Depending on where it broke, take the longer half and carve a fish out of it! Tape on a fin and you're set!
