Sick one Mitchell Ah SS that is quite the bomb huh Hey I totally watched Little Ricky get pitted and throw a rollo on the exit yesterday..stoked bruh Yesterday was the icing on the cake over the past couple weeks...HH nice long tube rides I ain't get no flicks though
Yeah, yesterday was pretty fun in veebee. Clean chest to shoulder in the morning, and clean waist to chest in the afternoon. I just hope Cheech actually was able to paddle out as we had decent waves for once.
Just got to work after 4 or 5th sesh over the last 6 days. Arms are burning. Chest high and fairly clean again. Everybody must be surfed out or were waiting for the tide to come in a little more. 4 people out where would normally be a crowd. Sat. could be off the charts if the wind isn't too crazy. Stoked and burned out.
Twas (*)(*) up here all weekend pretty much, I scored big friday. Peajay I'm sorry I couldn't get down there, too much going on.
Scored Friday morning and this morning. Honestly can't remember the last time I got it that good. Stoked
u go up to ny?its been onshore for the past 2 1/2 weeks, except that 2 hour window last week.its been good everywhere but nj.coastguard even rescued a jetskier in Manasquan.oceans been loco
All of Florida has been firing for two weeks except us. Gotta roll north for now. We'll get ours soon. You go to the same place today? I was there Sunday morning until fifty of my best friends showed up. BTW, the awesome wave generating devise was "closed for service". It's two days old, WTF?
Another warm water session today. Sooo nice. Nobody on the beach when I walked down from the car. Light cool offshores were blowing, and a tiny waist-high long-period south swell was rolling in. I found my usual left-handed corner still warping on the refraction from the seawall. Lots of very short lefts, but one of them tossed up a nice in-and-out barrel! Nice to be back in the water for yet another fun, chill, lunch session in this year's semi-tropical water.
took the ferry over and surfed a couple of jetties in SNJ this morning. Fun but not epic. Ended up running into a guy from OCMD I know from down here, and traded off fun lefts. No pics.....had to rush down to catch the ferry back.
A few fun ones today at high tide.... Nothing epic or losing sleep over or write home about. But it was fun.
Today in south jersey was sick. Not perfect conditions but it was clean . Yesterday in south south jersey was pretty epic . As good as it gets around those parts . Big .. Rare day . Still some off shore leftovers for tomrorow ! Small but fun im sure . Stoked on these last 2 weeks . Keep it coming surf gods .
Nice morning on the MA south shore. Saw a big mola and had that split second of thinking, that's not a shark, right? Fin was probably over a foot long but moving in that lazy non-shark-like way. Only downside was that there was some coot surf casting right inshore from where there were about 6 people out. Dude, how about moving 200 yards down the beach in either direction? The stripers aren't in one spot off the beach... Saw one guy getting his gloves on prior to paddling out. Into the 65˚*water. On a 65˚ sunny day. WTF.
I stroked into several big ones way outside (3rd or 4th break) yesterday in South Jersey. Shared the line up with one other surfer, and a pod of 20 dolphins. Dolphins usually just cruise by. Yesterday, they were literally hanging out with us. Some of them were coming straight for me, and went under about 10 feet away. Several mother/calf pairs.
hour and a half of chest high perfection in La Jolla Today. 2 other guys and set waves every 5 minutes.
I bet this morning was sick! Hopefully I'll get some good ones after work today. Scored yesterday morning at that beach break over rocks named after an insect. The waves were good sized but a little disorganized. Lots of confusion over gear selection this week it seems. I paddled out in my 3/2 no booties. My buddy had his 5/4 with booties. Still too early for booties or winter suits IMO. Def too early for gloves.
When I was out, I had on a sealed 3/2, no issues, but I'm sure the water is warmer in South Jersey than in MA. The other guy had on boots. The dolphins all had full suits.
