Do the wings on the tail do anything?

I pretty much ride WRV's when its shortboardable. I have Vapor and a wombat and love them both. Had a chronic that was my magic board for getting barreled but i unfortunately snapped it at the lighthouse last summer. god i miss that board. it was an experimental board by bob yinger. only time he ever made this one. it had parabolic stringers and a rounded pin tail. 6'1, 18 3/4 wide and 2.25 thick. only really rode it about 8 times but every time i rode it, i got good waves. id recommend WRV. only issue i have is that their glass is just okay. if you get a custom, get it glassed heavier.

sure helps that my little brother works there and its literally across the street from me...

here's a picture of the tail. my other brother did the artwork on it

Thanks man. I am going to NC this weekend and we are coming back thru VB area so I'm gonna hit up the shop and see what's in stock. If they have what I want, I'll get it, if not I think I am going to go custom. Cool art work on the tail! Tell your brother to give me a hook up!! LOL

Had one back in the mid 80's around the time they were working out the kinks in short board design in thrusters. Bought it new off the rack for about two and a half bills. Ugly-ass retro paint job of blue and orange. Basically a pig. Hey...it was the eighties. A lot of things I shouldn't have done.
Advancements and shapers have come a long way. TJ! Nice boards.

wings and bumps shorten the rail line, which make medium and especially small wave hpsb's more maneuverable/pivoty.
