Yeah I haven't touched the forum since I started the new gig. . . but things are slowin down a bit. . . so naturally I'm back.

Jesus, I've seen more Jersey Shore thugs on the Hermosa Pier than I ever did in New Jersey. They actually also just had the old "condoms, tampons, and needles" scare on the beach the other day. . . Reminds me of home!

Thanks dood. Not sure yet on the permanent part yet. Trying to stay "present", but I feel like every year I live in Los Angeles, I take two off my life. I need to get out exploring other area's but I don't think LA for good (places like SD or Ventura would be cool, but not many companies w/ offices there).

 

I have been surfing for 40 years yet only a few times ever in lbi and every one of those times, the 80's, 90's and last week it was good surf. You must be missing it

 

Dude,mr dude: I have a simple resolution for you: MOVE TO BELMAR! There is only one spot to check (18th ave), only one surf shop around (right across the street- eastern lines. Maybe Ihatelongboards will be working), the best coffee shop around (Dunkin Donuts) and Djais. Need I say more?

Yeah I think that's more my scene anyway. LA is either mocha, soy milk, gluten free, no GMO french vanilla latte's or "yeah I'm a surfer, I have a wavestorm and I rip". I'm sure it's like that a lot of places in CA, but seems like a ton of people are just smoke and mirrors.

Yes, BL you need some balls on certain days. You can feel that bastard current pulling you right into the inlet. You have to know what your doing there but can reap some epic days if willing.

 

True, southern only has the juveniles. You get up into the PNW they'll swallow you whole rather than just an arm or a leg.

Skip Miller use to take me over to PeckerHeads every northswell that went SSW wind hard. It was perfect but you needed the boat to do it. So fun man.... You would love it. Rebound right A-frames off the rox that ran down the beach. One time it was so big and I was so tired I couldnt get back out so I had to jump off the rox into the inlet to get back on the Whaler hahahaha. #littlegromoverhishead....
