.........im just bored, thought id start another retarded thread..

so whats the deal with people who had their dads leave them or was never there for them and feel like hey fuk u dad?people get too emotional.my pops left us when I was 5,and I don't hold any remorse or anything like that.like if I ran into him one day I wouldn't be like where were you wahhh waahhh waahh.u only get 2 parents in life, they may be shytheads,u may be a shythead so u should see where u get it from.

same thing with mommy issues.i remember when I was in school, this girl who had her locker next to mine used to drink vodka in the morning and bitcych about her mom all the time.where does the hate come from?that girl even offered to blow me for a dimebag,i just laughed and said nah nah nah lol.

I think its cool seeing a parent u havnt seen in years, and u start to see where u get certain things from.like 7 yrs ago I got in contact with my pops and went up to Montauk ny to go meet him.first thing I noticed was how much of a crazy fast driver he was.now me,my brothers, except 1 brother he drives like an old lady, all have lead feet and drive pretty fast.not reckless ,but fast.my older brother is a truck driver, drives 18 wheelers.my father drove 18wheelers for a living during the brief time I knew him.so the other day I helped my brother move,he rented one of those 30ft long ryder trucks, and his new driveway is a winding turn going uphill with about 7 ft width of roadway.he backed up that shyt like a g lol,and I can see where he got it from.genetics.

so next time u suck at surfing,or u cant swim like mr frosty lips, just remember, hey maybe my dad couldn't swim either

Cep, "it's OK it's not your fault" some things we just can't shake. I've always had my Dad and still do and swore when I got older I would never be like him. But now it's like looking in the mirror, I embrace it! Just make the changes to be OK with who you need to be. PEACE!

they got em, then they kids got em. circle of life, man.

thats how you get Chastity, Jasmine, Diamond, or Misty the 4th...
ancestral occupation passed on through generations as legacy and status. "oh yeah, your grandma used to dance here....you're hired."

For what it's worth, I knew a few girls while I was in college who really liked Old Spice aftershave. It was what their Dads wore. 0thers liked the smell of cut grass and gasoline. Maybe it was what their Dads smelled like coming in the house after working in the yard. Don't really know. Have to ask the ladies.

My Dad was on the road a lot during the week (something my Mom still resents decades later) while we were growing up; but he kept his family clothed, fed, a good roof over our heads, and educated. Also, he shared with my brother and I his love for the water: sailing/boating, fishing, skin diving, and swimming. He's almost 86 and now in a nursing home (broke his hip in January). When I took up surfing 3 years ago at 57, he thought it was great. My Mom, on the other hand, thought I was nuts.

At 18 my old man was the dumbest man I knew. He got a little smarter every year. I was fortunate to have a father, who despite being a hard arse, only had the best intentions for his family. Being a parent changes your perspective on your own parents and how difficult it can be at times to raise children.

Sorry CEP, but fathers who abandon their kids are complete douche bags of the first degree or order.

I'm glad to hear that you aren't too upset by it.

But it usually leaves a "hole", a void in a person's life. A big one, and rightfully so.

Chicks who have father issues tend to look for approval from guys, which usually results in sex being done. These brief moments of "approval" by having a man "interested" in them supposedly "helps" them for an hour or 14(if Adderall is used).

Parents who don't love and raise their children suck, plain and simple.

My parents "raised" me until their deaths at age 89 and 92. I was 51 when they stopped "raising" me. I have a 27, a 26 and a 24 year old that I'm still raising. Raising a kid doesn't mean throwing them out at 18. It's not just food, clothing and shelter; that's providing necessities for survival. "Kids" need advice and guidance throughout their lives.

Yeah, some parental types might hold on too long and overindulge their children, but I don't know a single "trust fund kid."
