Glad you're getting a little something down your way, even if it ain't big, still good to not have to drive. But next time you're up this way let me know.
yea... Took the drive south just to get out of town and away from the same old sand bars... same old views... same old faces... Called a friend and told him I was having an identity crisis. Weird. I felt like I wanted to surf... but not here. We found an empty peak between the fishermen and had a really fun session. Nothing epic, but it was fun just seeing, "what other people's water feels like."
I've been wanting to make the trek up to jersey for a while, but eff that now. It be too cold for me. I haven't been in the water in the past couple of weeks and it's frustrating. Not saying there hasn't been any waves though. It's just kinda hard to surf with a 4 month old at the house when you're wife works days and you work nights. Anyway, that's my little pity party. Glad someone is getting some waves though.
I surfed this morning....37F, with a modest north wind....cold. But the waves were shoulder to head, went to my favorite spot--was there all by myself early dawn. 2 hour session. Great rides....lots of them. Do I get a cookie for that??
Yes you get a cookie, Barry. P*ssy alert... I'll be surfing Thanksgiving Day through Sunday. I'm hoping the surf predictin' web sites are over calling the swell. Head high plus chop, first time in rubber this season, will be a bit sketchy for me. If I don't post on Monday, It was nice knowin' youze guys.
Dude where'd you get out? I was out at a popular point break and it was pumping. Chest to head high sets and not a lot of wind chop. I surfed from 12:30 until it started to get dark around 4:15. It was almost too much fun. Then I broke a fin clean off taking a wave into shore so that balanced things out nicely.
No, you didn't. You just checked Surline's surf report. That's all. It's like 2-3 foot up there today, Skippy.
did too. And you looked way after I was out in shoulder to head high glassy waves. And you can look at Surfline all you want and you will see nothing that is relevant to reality, which, btw, you seem to be losing your grip on. toodle le do!! ps...I may even go out for a second session....whooopeeee!!! But, that is a maybe......
Barry, I never had a "grip on reality." I do my best to stay inebriated. Tomorrow I get to buy drugs. Anyways, it is common knowledge that New Hampshire never loses that much size from 6:00 am to noon. It just isn't allowed up there. Now, sunrise to 3:00 pm may see a drop of two foot, but that's all.
Betty, I may be a rad dad. But I'm no Brad. Yup, I was the guy that almost threw all your **** in the water.
My brother and I had a nice session on the North side of the Frisco Pier yesterday late morning. Blasting offshore wind and driving rain. Air temp was chilly, and wind didn't help, but water felt warm. 3/2 with no boots/gloves fit the bill for me. Chest high peelers, and some Head High + bomb sets rolling through. Total of six guys out, counting us. We basically had a peak to ourselves. Super fun! That will probably be the end of the 2015 surf season for me, as the closest snowboarding places are 1-1.5 hours drive for me, where the ocean is 3.5+ hours (or more for OBX). It isn't the same as surfing, but it works for me to keep up the stoke until the water warms up again.
And you are hurting because you were raking leaves?? Celebrex sucks by the way....very weak,.....I prefer opiates, just like Riley.
"Common knowledge"...???!!??? hahahaha!! Now that is funny. Tell you what-you can convince yourself waves were 2-3 feet. I, on the other hand, can be confident that i was in chest to head high this morning....and all by my lonesome self!! awwwwww, i was sooooo not lonely!!!!
